What comic books would you recommend for a n00b?
Great question anonymous person who couldn’t possibly be my fiancée doing me a favor. I generally recommend what I read, so here’s a list of stuff I’ve really enjoyed reading and should be available in your comic store tomorrow in graphic novel or back issue form. Superman: Secret Origin — Its not in trade yet, but if you can handle having a few “floppy”...

“We know from painful experience that letting a third party layer of software...”
– Thoughts on Flash from Steve Jobs I post this quote because it echoes a similar situation I have at my work. My organization’s ambition, my own ambition, is at constant odds with the glacier that is our third-party software used on our website. It sucks.

classydave asked: Dude I'm sorry to bother you, but your gremlins "lets fuck shit up" t-shirt post came up on a google search I did. Do you by any chance know if that shirt is still on sale somewhere? I've looked everywhere for it. Thanks and sorry again, I know I wouldn't want to read a random question from a stranger on my personal blog.

Interesting to see just how much I used to use the simple txt-ing method for sending tweets. I’ve given up on Destroy Twitter. If I’m at a computer, I use Brizzly or Twitter.com. On the go its Tweed.

How Facebook is putting its users last →
In a previous post, I’ve stated how Facebook’s privacy options are a sloppy and complicated mess. Allow myself to quote myself, “…part of me feels like its also done to keep the Average Jane and Joe from understanding what the hell is going on.” This article makes that point, and a handful of others I agree with, excluding one point: That’s how you lose user...

What do you say to a PETA canvasser?
salsus: I just told a PETA canvasser that I’m from a place in Texas where we lynch vegans. (sorry Lane, do you still like me?) Does this make me a horrible person? Never.

New $100 Bill →
wadcity: I don’t give a shit how good it is at stopping counterfitters, that is ONE FUCKING UGLY PIECE OF MONEY. Yeah, fancy-ass bell in the inkwell, I see you. I also get why all the bells and whistles are necessary. But if we wanted to make fairy-ass European rainbow money, we should go all the way. Laser cats fucking John Edwards in the face. Etc. This mostly-green but with a splash of...

“Say hi to your kids! Tell your kids you love them! Say hi to your kids! Say hi...”
– Turned on ABC to watch the new Lost and caught the last moments of Dancing with the Stars. The above rant is me yelling at Kate Gosselin after she was asking if there was anything she wanted to say to anyone at home.

78th weekday of 2010
As we inch towards midnight on April 9th, 2010, let’s remember that tomorrow, with its numeric pattern and numerous anniversaries, often gives people the opportunity and cause to act a damn fool. Let’s be careful out there tomorrow.

eff yeah chores
Since we live on the ground floor of our apartment building, I get the pleasure of occasionally washing the windows, inside and out. Its a pain, but as I look at the grimy windows of all my neighbors, I realize how lucky I am to be able to brighten up my view just a little bit more. Don’t sweat the technique.
