Blade Runner: The Final Cut
Y’know what? Fuck Blade Runner and fuck Ridley Scott. This shit is getting re-donkulous.
This is like the umptenth version of this flick in past few years. A flick I believe is entirely overrated.
My opinion could be related to my age. I only saw Blade runner last year and I afterwards I found myself asking what the big deal was. I had a similiar reaction to Reservoir Dogs, which I saw many years after its iniital release. I thought it sucked.
Probably because I had seen all the groundbreaking elements of Reservoir Dogs in all of the copy cat movies that came after it. The same for Blade Runner. I have no appreciation for its special effects, its mind-altering landscapes, its vision of the future, Sean Young, or Harrison Ford’s version of Sam Spade (Rick Deckard).
I think everyone can agree, however, that this is just another attempt to double dip on sci-fi fans. Actually, I believe this is a triple dip for Blade Runner. Obviously, we the few, the proud, the nerdy, are gullible as shit when it comes to our disposable income. Star Wars is another franchise that has passed around the collection plate more than once. Fox’s treatment of the X-Men films on DVD is another example.
Wake up nerds! Stop tossing your dollars away every time an extra nugget of concept art gets packed into a shinier box!
