What matters to me though is how the court overall is perceived and how if it was not Kwame Kilpatrick sitting in that seat, if it was John Six-Pack sitting in that seat, what would I do? And that answer is simple.
Quote from District Court Judge Ronald Giles. Mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick will be going to jail for one night, for violating terms of his bond related to an alleged assult that occured when Wayne County sheriffs were serving a friend of the Mayor a subpoena. That subpoena is realted to the text-messaging scandel and cover-up of a multi-million dollar payment, funded by the City of Detroit, to settle a civil case surrounding the dismissal of two Detroit police officers.
One day in jail? Sounds like a good start. I want to see this crooked official in jail, disbarred, and striped of his mayoral duties. I want to see Detroit stand-up for itself, and declare that the days of corruption, wasted spending, and under-development are over.
So when can we go after the Bush administration?
