KaBOOM! | ask me anything
Back in 2004, I was having a stroll with my Dad in a grocery store about the Bush/Kerry election. He completely surprised me bashing Bush. He’d been surrounded by ignorant, IG-NO-RANT, rednecks, dumb-fucks, and all around po’ white trash (y’know, real Americans) at work and at home, and I was shocked that he hadn’t fallen for all of the tricks and traps conservatives had been running for the previous ten years.
“Jason,” he said, “they won’t be happy till we are all eating soup.” It was funny.
So you can imagine how unsurprised I was to hear that Campbell’s Soup stock had not only survived the huge crash, but it had according to this Guardian article, “posted a 46% rise in quarterly profits.”
Dad, you were right.
