KaBOOM! | ask me anything
That way, I can unfollow you and be done with your PRECIOUS FUCKING CRISIS!
And please, if you are under 25, unfollow me.
Loves!
Today I unfollowed a specific Tumblr user because I’m tired of seeing him post popular items, like the Iron Man 2 trailer, totally fresh, as if it hadn’t hit Tumblr yet.
This happens. You see something exciting and post it on Tumblr, only to see that half the world had posted it hours ago. I totally understand that this happens from time to time. but this guy did it all the time.
Like tonight, with the Iron Man 2 trailer.
I’ve been on Tumblr long enough to know that unless you made the picture, film, or news item yourself, chances are its already been posted. A lot.
This happened too much on this guy’s blog to be accidental. If you follow him, I recommend giving it the unfollow.
We decided to organize some camera statistics from photos uploaded to Tumblr, and it revealed some interesting data:
Many people take photos with their mobile phones. Here’s how the top modern smartphone types break down:
Beyond the expected dominance of iPhone OS and BlackBerry devices, Palm’s webOS (Pre, Pixi) isn’t very popular among Tumblr users, but Android devices are gaining popularity.
That .4%? That’s me and kittykittybangbang. Your welcome Palm.
Chances are high I’m changing the blog theme tonight.
*UPDATE* The blog theme has changed. Much tweakage to come.
But last week, I lived some life. I went to a concert. Had family come into town. Had a surprise birthday party. I think I went out every night last week and I often ate like a pig and drank like a fish.
And my Tumblarity dropped like a stone.
Maybe I could have done more email posting from my phone, but honestly, I don’t want to worry about that stuff when I’m, y’know, having fun. Each time my Tumblarity drops, I care less and less about getting it back up.
Its a fun way to grade your blogging, and I’m interested to see how its expanded upon, but its far too punishing right now.
Man, I really need to start proofreading my posts here better.
There is some layout goofiness surrounding blog posts with <blockquote> tags in them. I’m hoping to fix it this evening.
Thank you for your patience.
