Thanks Gmail for ruining my grandmother’s email experience
My Grandma emailed today because the recent changes to Gmail made her think she couldn’t delete, reply, or forward messages anymore.
Anyways It seems like my inbox is all screwed up because there’s no delete option nor reply and forward. Can you help or should I call Google?
*sigh*
Google Merges Search and Google Into Social Media Juggernaut
A) Hyperbole much?
B) If I trust my friends or colleagues have something to say about something, I’d just ask them about it.
C) Search is working just fine. Please leave it alone.
D) Stop announcing shit if it isn’t available to everyone.
My new favorite comic book, Wolverine and the X-Men is now my Google wallpaper. I don’t know why I love having custom wallpaper on Google so much. I rarely see it since I search from the Chrome Omnibox. I also love the Google search page’s simplicity. Just something about customizing this page satisfies me.
Looks like Google app developers are finishing up for the season.
This is cool. Google Calender’s favicon now updates with today’s date.

Official Google Blog: Microsoft’s Bing uses Google search results - and denies it
Wow.
Edit: Y’all know that, as of late last year, Yahoo! search is powered by Bing, right?(via biorhythmist)
Double wow.

This article on online shopping fraud and Google search results is fascinating
This story about an unscrupulous online dealer is really creepy, especially as it seems to work.

Google Buzz
Aside from Peter Cashmore, is anyone really that excited about Google Buzz?
Its been launched for a few days now and all I see are the imported Tweets from the same folks I follow on other services.
I’d like to see this product work. I would like to have a place for me to have quick, status style conversations with my family and friends, outside of the view of employers and co-workers. Each day that passes where that doesn’t happen, however, gives me less faith that it ever will.
Back to Mashable.com, I’m slightly disturbed at the excitement for this tool coming out of the web’s leading source for social media news. They’ve already integrated a ‘Buzz Count’ into each post and have been blogging heavily about it since its launch. It isn’t unlike Mashable to make 2-3 posts every time Google scratches its ass, but there is an enthusiasm, an intrinsic trust in this product that’s just not sitting well with me.
As a social media junkie with lots of social media savvy friends, all I’m getting is redundant, “already saw that” noise.
Is there any…?
Why do I feel so…
