Does Marvel have a female problem? I’ve never understood why it seemed that women liked DC more than Marvel, but according to this application that analyzes Tweets, it might just be true.
Personally, I find Marvel’s character base to be far more compelling that DC’s, so I never thought of anything in strictly terms of gender. Maybe DC just has more iconic female characters?

They found that the rise in the overall number of antidepressant prescriptions was not due to increasing numbers of patients receiving antidepressants. It was almost entirely caused by one thing: a small increase in the small proportion of those patients who received treatment for longer periods of time. Numerically, people receiving treatment for long periods make up the biggest chunk of all the prescriptions written, so this small shift bumped up the overall numbers hugely.

Also some really interesting data on how people lie about their height. People, according to their data, generally add two inches to their height. Guys, whose height gets closed to 6 feet, round up more and more.

Data Thoughts
I just spent 40 minutes trying to use Google Docs and Google Chart API to create a normal distribution of the chances of survival in a zombie apocalypse. I’ve given up on this goal because I’ve totally run out of patience with these tools. If I had Excel on my home PC it’d be done by now.
Here’s the gist, in a zombie apocalypse, chances are (roughly 66%) you are going to become a zombie. The remaining 33% will be split between surviving and dying while on the run.
Although perhaps a bell curve isn’t the best way to explain it. “On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.” So perhaps its a line graph, a high slope that plummets after the first few data points, then rides nearly parallel to the X-Axis.
